Symbolism Piggy

Piggy above all symbolizes the boy's connection with the adult world. He represents the superego, he constantly tries to control the boy's behavior mostly jack's. He pick up the conch when it has fallen, and brings it up the mountain too he fire to try to restore some order. His hair never grows, like the other's boys he is not tempted at all by savagery like the other boys. All the other boys their hair had grown long and they are starting to lean away from order, but his hair remains short.
When the boys come up the hill chanting, "kill the pig, cut her throat, spill her blood” the are symbolically killing part of piggy. At that point in the book it is where order starts to crumble away faster, and piggy is still clinging desperately to the order.
