More symbolism
In Lord of the Flies the island represents the garden of Eden. It is basically a perfect world corrupted by the arrival of the boys, and the evil they spread.
The Pilot who has fallen out of the sky, symbolises the boy's link to the adult world which has broken.

We are currently reading Lord of the Flies in class and we are writing blogs about each chapter.
Blog 1: Describe the boy's arrival on the island, from the perspective of one of the boys.
