About Simon

He is a quiet boy, who really doesn’t talk much. He, instead of becoming a hunter stayed and helped Ralph building the huts for the camp. On the first day he went exploring, with Ralph and Jack. He seemed as captivated, and excited about the island as the others, but as the book progresses you learn more about Simon.
After helping Ralph most of the day, he heads off into the jungle. A few little ones follow him, ad he helps them reach fruit from the taller branches, and then he slips off into the jungle. He just sits in the small-secluded spot among the trees, and just listens, thinks, and basically absorbs the world around him. He seems to prefer being alone, he always helps the littler boys, but he seems to prefer being alone to any company.
